About me
My name is Anouk Robbeets (1997). I began gymnastics at the age of four and went on to train in acrobatic gymnastics at Belgian and international level until I was twenty. After concluding my competitive career, I continued my artistic path with Compagnie NEWA, where I deepened my practice through dance training, hand balancing, and aerial work.
Today, I work as an artist with a focus on three main activities. I create and perform aerial acts for events, tailored to corporate and cultural settings. Alongside this, I offer (private) lessons and workshops in aerial and acrobatic arts. I also work as a maker of original performance work, developing full-length and short creations such as March of Time.
My event performances are characterized by elegance, musicality, refined lines, and a strong stage presence. My work as a maker, however, is deeply informed by a broad and versatile background. In addition to my artistic career, I hold a master's degree in engineering, have contributed to climate-related projects, and engage in volunteer work with vulnerable groups. These experiences shape my creative process and serve as an important source of inspiration, resulting in visually striking and layered performances.
